When a chapter assignment opens, when one closes in a day and you have not submitted, when you can still improve a mark you are not finished with, and when an instructor extends a deadline. Each is one message in Arabic and English. Turning them off never affects email about your account or your sign-ins.

Two-step verification asks for a code from an authenticator app at every sign-in, so a password alone cannot open the account. Below it, the browsers this account has signed in from: Remove one you do not recognise (it is signed out at its next page load; a staff account without two-step verification also verifies with an emailed code), or Sign out everywhere.
